NDIS Price Modelling
Veluna Community Services is a Disability and Mental Health Support Service that operates under the National Disability Insurance Scheme, servicing participants of the scheme with key support services to facilitate their independence and everyday living.
In Australia our employment and wage conditions are structured by Awards or Enterprise Agreements. In the Community Services sector, where the primary work is direct care services the staff are structured under the The Social, Community, Health Care and Disability Services Award.
The National Disability Insurance Scheme has provided two key documents that provide guidance and modeling of the costings to operate the service under both these key structures.
Veluna Community Services have adopted the provided guidance and apply the pricing as it is listed in the Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits guide, available below:
Provide a participant with assistance with, or supervision of, personal tasks of daily life to develop skills of the participant to live as autonomously as possible.

These support items enable a participant to engage in community, social and recreational activities. These support items can be delivered to individual participants or to groups

se support items enable participants to maintain their home environment. This may involve undertaking essential household tasks that the participant is not able to undertake.

Supports focused on building independence in daily living and community participation. This includes assistance to secure and maintain accommodation, alongside individual and group-based skill development in areas such as community access, social engagement, and everyday life skills.
This support item is to guide, prompt, or undertake activities to ensure the participant obtains or retains appropriate accommodation. This may include assisting to apply for a rental tenancy or to undertake tenancy obligations in line with the participant’s tenancy agreement.
This support item, which includes mentoring, peer-support and individual skill development, is designed to establish volunteer assistance within the participant’s home or community to develop skills. For instance, assistance in attending appointments, shopping, bill paying, taking part in social activities and maintaining contact with others.
This support item provides individual life skills development and training including public transport training and support, developing skills for community, social and recreational participation. It also provides training for participants in groups to increase their independence in daily personal activities.

The above pricing is subject to change as the NDIS price guide is updated twice a year. Our service automatically applies new price guide prices to services, which is stipulated in the service agreement. The NDIS will increase plan values to match increase in price guides, therefore this changes should not have a material impact on your funding and or services.
